Hiking on Mt. Plose
Fresh mountain air, easy walks and a jaw-dropping panorama: in summer, Mt. Plose is a real paradise for walkers, hikers and mountaineers. You can look forward to wide pastures dotted with rhododendrons and grazing sheep, and stop by at one of the huts along the way for a tasty snack.
Downhill at the Brixen Bike Park
Are you a passionate downhiller or MTB fan? Four trails with different levels of difficulty are waiting for you at the Brixen Bike Park on Mt. Plose. Whether you accept the challenge or would prefer an easy-going ride through the pastures, you can hire your mountain bike or e-bike at the Bike Park.
A mountain cart ride
Try the mountain carts: the summer equivalent of a toboggan ride! Starting from the Plose lift terminal, you can head downhill on three-wheeled carts at your own speed. WARNING: it’s seriously addictive!
A lungful of fresh air
With easy hiking trails and idyllic views, the Alpine pastures around Brixen are among the most beautiful ones South Tyrol has to offer: visit the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm, the Villanderer Alm, the Villnösser Alm and the Fane Alm Alpine village.
A splash of fun and a relaxing dip
A large sunbathing lawn, several pools (including a saltwater pool) and a children's area: the Acquarena water park is a popular haunt in every season. If you feel like taking a long swim or just fancy a quick dip, Acquarena is only a few minutes’ walk from Gerharts.

In the warm summer evenings, the centre of Brixen buzzes with life. Live music, good food and drink, and a great atmosphere will keep you entertained until late into the night.
