GERHARTS - Traditionelles Törggelen beim Bauern

Some call it autumn, others call it fall… we call it Törggelen time! This popular tradition originated right here, in the Eisacktal valley. Take a pleasant walk through the countryside and call into one of the local taverns, where you will be served traditional farmers’ fare, new wine and roasted chestnuts. There are plenty of routes you can choose that start right from your holiday apartment. If you are visiting in autumn, this is an opportunity you should not miss!
GERHARTS - Ab durch den Weinberg

Through the grapevine

There’s no better season than autumn to take a walk through the vineyards. We highly recommend the Eisacktal valley Apple and Wine Trail and the Törggele Trail, easy walks that lead up to Neustift Abbey.
GERHARTS - Der Eisacktaler Kastanienweg

The Eisacktal valley Chestnut Trail

Put on your hiking boots, leave your Gerharts apartment, and in just a few minutes you will reach the little church of St. Cyrill, where the Eisacktal Chestnut Trail starts. The trail goes gently up and down through ancient chestnut groves, offering a lovely experience at one with nature.
GERHARTS - Durch Brixen bummeln

A walk around Brixen

Blue skies, mild temperatures and a world of sights and attractions at your fingertips. Go for a walk around the town centre or take advantage of the Plose cable car (open until mid-October) to enjoy a walk on the Alpine pastures.
GERHARTS - MTB Downhill auf der Plose

Bike fever

The Eisacktal valley is blessed with a long cycling season. There’s everything a keen pedaller can wish for: flat cycle paths in the valley, middle-mountain trails, the Brixen Bike Park on Mt. Plose… take your pick! If you are visiting in September, don’t miss the Mountain Bike Testival – the annual festival that attracts scores of amateurs and professionals from near and far to Brixen.
